From 21 to 25 July 2013 seventeen boats took part in the Loch Long One-Design Owners' Association's 75th Annual Championship races on the Clyde hosted by Cove Sailing Club (CSC) and supported by a number of generous donors of prizes including Kip Chandlery and New World Yacht Care.
Racing took place in generally light breezes (6 to 11 knots) from the East and the South allowing Race Officer Howard Morrison to set a series of challenging windward/leeward courses across conflicting sea and shore breezes, first on the Kilcreggan Shore and later in the week under the hilly shores of Loch Long, The third day was given to a distance race of some 14 miles twice round a course from mid Firth via Kilcreggan Point to Ironotter off Greenock and back to the mid-channel mouth of Loch Long,
The Clyde Cup was won convincingly by Mark Bradshaw (for the sixth time) with Robin Jarvis in Pamina (74) with 8 points, with steady Alan MacLeod and Erin Maconnachie in clear second place in Pied Piper (20) with12 points. The next positions were closely fought, with Aldeburgh's Hussar (110) - Rebecca Johnson, B, Johnson and N. Waller - finishing third with 20 points, followed by Electra (109) - Alan DeVenny and cadet Callum Foulis - in fourth place with 22 points. Behind them came Duncan Farquhar, Alan Glendinning et al in Sula (84) - 23 points - and CSC Commodore Eric Robertson with cadets Jack Robertson and Zoe Robinson in Bora (88) in sixth position with 27 points.
