Following on from his extremely popular main stage talk at the RYA Dinghy Show on getting the most out of your Laser, this month we hear from British Sailing Team Laser sailor Nick Thompson who has campaigned in not one, not two but three Olympic cycles!

Nick chats to RYA Youth Racing Manager Duncan Truswell about his Laser sailing career and where it all started; why Laser sailing is so popular and how to avoid catastrophes out on the water.

Nick also shares his thoughts on how to improve your hiking skills, what makes the best sailors the very best and what kind of training is needed to be an effective Laser sailor, as well as sharing some top tips to get the most out of your sailing. We also try and find out who Nick has his eyes on in the ranks of young Laser sailors as potential future stars.

The RYA Dinghy Show 2014 takes place at Alexandra Palace, London over the weekend of 1-2 March. Find out more about the RYA Dinghy Show at www.dinghyshow.org.uk
