29er World Championships at Kaløvig Sailing Club - Day 2

by Jerelyn Biehl 30 Jul 2013 09:06 BST 28 July - 2 August 2013

After five hour delay due to a dead calm, the second day of qualifying for the 2013 29er Worlds held out of Kaløvig Sailing Club in Aarhus, Denmark got back on track. Two more races were held in 8 knots which fell to 6 knots during the final race, enough to count for all competitors.

ISAF Youth World champions Lucas Rual and Emile Amoros of France moved into the lead with two bullets for the day. New Zealands Isaac McHardie with Micah Wilkinson on the wire sit in second followed by brothers Quinn and Dane Wilson of the USA in third. Yesterdays leader Charlie Wyatt and Tom Siganto of Australia fell to fourth in the lighter winds. Ragna and Maia Agerup of Norway remain the top female team.

Twenty-five nations are representing all continents with 213 entries in this highly competitive fleet.
