by Keith Lovett 22 Jul 2013 14:43 BST 20-21 July 2013

The Parkstone Yacht Club and Poole Yacht Racing Association, summer regatta over the 20th and 21st July enjoyed Caribbean sailing conditions with a spectacular 5 race series for two monohull fleets in Poole Bay.

Supported by leading pleasure craft Insurers; Haven Knox-Johnston, the race team from Parkstone set a variety of Olympic and Ad-Hoc courses – the result being some of the best racing in Poole Bay in recent years.

Jointly rated under VPRS and IRC the J133 'Jeronimo' completely dominated Class One under the IRC system. The lowest rated boat an MG346 'Enigma' picking up second place with a very consistent score line.

In class two solely racing under the popular VPRS system, it was again with highest rating in the form of the Mustang 30 'Addict Two' taking honours over the mini-tonner 'Dream On' but in this fleet by the smallest of margins both scoring an identical six points and the one discard being the decider.
