The Datchet Flyer is a brand new event scheduled for 14th and 15th December 2013, as part of the GJW Direct Winter Series.

Bringing together the best of winter sailing and Christmas festivities, the Flyer also hosts the SailRacer Christmas Ball amidst 2 days of handicap and pursuit racing on Queen Mother Reservoir, overlooked by Windsor Castle.

The 'Flyer' will consist of three handicap races on Saturday, scored on average laps of the same course to enable an overall set of results to be generated. In traditional Winter Series style the Sunday will feature a long distance pursuit race. All boats racing will be fitted with GPS tracker units with the action streamed live via the internet and available to analyse after racing.

The Christmas Ball is the perfect excuse to let your hair down with a black tie and posh frocks dress code. SailRacer have secured hotel rooms at the nearby Holiday Inn Express and can offer a fantastic launch offer price for the weekend package.

Option 1 – singlehander package £99:

  • Singlehander entry to the 2-day Datchet Flyer
  • 1 ticket to the SailRacer Christmas Ball with 3 course meal
  • Saturday night hotel (including Sunday breakfast)
  • Taxi transfer to the hotel after the Ball

Option 2 – doublehander package £135:

  • Doublehander entry to the 2-day Datchet Flyer
  • 2 tickets to the SailRacer Christmas Ball with 3 course meals
  • Twin/Double Saturday night hotel (including Sunday breakfast)
  • Taxi transfer to the hotel after the Ball

Further meal tickets will be available separately. Any Class Association wishing to use this event to host their own Christmas party is more than welcome and table bookings will be taken on request.

Book online by 15th July 2013 to take advantage of this opening offer.
