Enterprise Inland Championships at Rutland Sailing Club

This was an excellent well-supported event that enjoyed an entry of 67 Enterprises.

Race 1 and 2 were raced on 30 April, the first race sailed in a moderate wind, the second race giving Race Officer William Jeffcoate a difficult time with fluky winds causing several recalls before the fleet got away.

Day 2 saw three very competitive back to back races, again being extremely challenging for competitors and William due to unpredictable wind shifts.

Prize-giving was delayed due to a protest, but when this did take place it was the finale to an exceptionally good Enterprise Inland Championships, both on the water and off the water.

A first class venue and hospitality, making it a typical Enterprise family weekend, running true to style by causing the bar to run drastically low on beer and glasses on the Saturday evening.
