RS Tera Open at Royal Harwich Yacht Club

Ten RS Teras braved some blustery conditions for the first Tera open hosted at the Club.

The fleet managed to get two races completed in the morning and the wind built towards lunchtime. After a short lunch break, the fleet relaunched for the final two races.

With the wind still strong, there were a couple of capsizes in the afternoon, leading to a few of the boats retiring. Well done to all those who completed the event, as well as to the winners of the event.

37 boats were ready for the strong winds forecast Once again, the sun shone for this year's Starcross Tera & Topper Open on Saturday 13th September. 54 competitors enjoy the revived event originally from the 1980s Hayling Island Sailing Club (HISC) hosted the revival of the Round Hayling Island Race on Sunday 24th August 2025. As ever the first timers received the most applause as their medals were awarded A bumper turnout of 41 sailors arrived at Draycote for round 4 of the Northampton Youth Series sponsored by Pinnell and Bax.
