During 2013, Noble Marine will be continuing their support for a large number of Class Associations as they fully appreciate the support and framework the different Class Associations give our sport. Without the hard work of a number of volunteers within the different Associations the sport of sailing would not be enjoyed by so many.

In recognition of this support Noble Marine will be title sponsors for a large number of key events this year including the RS 100, RS 200, RS 400, RS 700, RS 800, Fireball, Enterprise, Albacore, Musto Skiff and Combined Comet National Championships. In addition Noble Marine is sponsoring the International Moth, Laser Qualifying and the Supernova Travellers Series.

The first events in February were the 29er and Solo Winter Championships.

The Noble Marine 29er Winter Championships took place at Datchet Water Sailing Club on the 16th-17th February 2013. The event was sailed in mainly light but sunny conditions which resulted in close racing for the 41 competitors. After 6 races the event was won by Phil Walker and John Mather from Draycote Water S.C. First female team was Vikki Payne and Stephanie Orton from Chichester Y.C. who were 5th overall and first junior team was Owen Bowerman and Morgan Peach from Hayling Island S.C. finishing 6th.

Grafham Water Sailing Club hosted the Noble Marine Solo Winter Championships the following weekend. The 32 hardy Solo sailors competed in three races in light and extremely cold conditions. Racing was close especially at the front of the fleet with the title being settled in the third race by a race win in favour of Michael Sims from Carsington S.C. First Veteran was Simon Masket from Hunts S.C. with John Webster from Carsington S.C. taking the first Grand Master prize.

March sees the Laser Qualifiers, International Moth and Supernova Travellers Series start in addition to the 2000 Winter Championships.
