The Contender class remains the most popular singlehanded trapeze boat in the world and, with over 2500 boats built, is a truly international class and enjoys a high standard of fleet racing all over the world, from Australia to Northern Canada and everywhere in between.

This July the fleet will be off to Gravedona on Lake Como for the World Championships where we expect the entries to reach over 150 boats.

The stand will be staffed with the ever-friendly and helpful members of the class who will be there to offer advice or just chat.

We will have two boats on the stand; Ben McGrane's nationals winning boat from 2012, the first UK built boat since the rule change to allow epoxy construction and the second will be the Dee Mackonochie Memorial Junior Boat Lend Scheme boat.

This is the boat which some lucky Junior will be given to sail for the year and comes with a new sail from Wavelength, new ropes from Kingfisher, fully insured for the year thanks to Craftinsure, free travel to the worlds thanks to RB Sports Travel and DFDS and they'll even get their entry fees paid to all travellers' events for the year!

Entry forms will be available on the stand or for more information go here.

So pop by, have a chat, and fill out an entry if you'd be interested in sailing a Contender this year.
