Don't miss the opportunity to see the superb epoxy GP14 from Boon Boats at the RYA Dinghy Show, held over the weekend of 2/3 March 2013 at Alexandra Palace, London.

Manufactured using brand new mould tools, this boat is an exciting new version of an old favourite.

"We are delighted to be able to exhibit again at the show. The new boat took the Class by storm when it was first presented two years ago and since has gone on to win the Class National Championships on its first attempt, as well finishing 3rd at the 2012 World Championships" said Liz Hall from the GP14 Class Association.

"While the hull shape remains the same, the interior tray of the boat has been completely re-designed, with significant input from top designer Phil Morrison".

Alongside this epoxy boat will be a beautiful wooden GP14 fresh from the workshops of Paintcraft, where perfectionist Nigel Potter spends days laboriously preparing the bare hulls supplied by iconic Northern Irish boat builder, Alastair Duffin.

"The finish Nigel achieves is second to none and, thanks to his care and to sophisticated modern treatment methods and materials, GP14s from his workshops will remain beautiful for a very long time. He and Alistair share a love of traditional skills, but both of them have also built their reputation on finding innovative ways to bring the wooden GP14 into the 21st century, and the results will please traditionalists and modernists alike.

"The boats on the GP4 stand always attract admiring attention and this year will be no exception. Both these GP14s offer a truly modern sailing experience in a class where close competitive racing is the norm"

Members of the class association and representatives from Boon Boats will be on hand all weekend to demonstrate the finer points of the new boat design and to answer your questions.

Nigel Potter will also be on the GP stand throughout the Show to give advice about the upkeep of wooden boats and to provide information about his comprehensive fitting out and insurance/boat repair services; you can also see him on Stand C12.

"The boats on the GP14 stand always attract admiring attention and this year will be no exception. Both these GP14s offer a truly modern sailing experience in a Class where close competitive racing is the norm" concluded Liz.
