Bristol Fashion at BUSA Team Racing Championships
The British Universities Team Racing Championships came North for the first time for many years, with the event hosted by Newcastle University at Derwent Reservoir. The three day Championship from March 30 to April 1st was sailed in flights of Fireflies, and attracted twenty four mixed teams, plus ten Ladies teams.
Three Universities, Bristol, Oxford and Southampton showed their strength in depth by taking two of the top four slots in the mixed and Ladies championships.
Bristol, led by captain Edd Green, took the top award, with all three of their crews mixed pairs, while Southampton 1 took the ladies title.
In the silver division, Cambridge 2 took the title with Edinburgh A in second slot.
