Mersea Week 2012 saw an increase in competitors this year with over 800 people taking part making it the biggest sailing regatta on the East Coast. The week gave some fine weather with a mixture of wind conditions. We were also thrilled to give our own Silver Medallist Saskia Clark a hero's welcome home when she returned to compete with us in a RS400 with her boyfriend, Beijing Gold Medallist Paul Goodison. Sas also honoured us by giving away the prizes.

The formula for Mersea Week is now fine tuned with excellent race management and great social shore side events. We owe enormous thanks to our Weekly Sponsors Hempel Paints and Adnams Brewery and the all the daily sponsors for their contribution financially for providing some wonderful prizes and helping us to keep the entries fees down which has been a critical factor in making the week the success that it is. Thank you to everyone who made the week possible and see you all next year.
