Noble Marine RS700/800 Nationals at Hayling Island Sailing Club Preview

The 2012 Noble Marine RS800 and 700 National Championships starts at Hayling Island Sailing Club in two weeks time (Thursday 6th September) and is fast approaching. Entries are now coming in thick and fast and the event is shaping up as one not to be missed! So get your entry in early to avoid any unnecessary late entry fees and guarantee yourself a spot at the event of the year.

Guaranteed - Sun, fun and plenty of sailing for all, with prizes ta'boot. Including the opportunity to win the use of a Volvo XC90 for the week!

Wednesday 5th Sept
PM – Registration 17.00 to 19.00 club bar and restaurant open

Thursday 6th Sept
AM - Registration 10.00 to 12.00 and weighing in
2pm - Races 1 & 2
PM - Welcome drinks and meal in the Club

Friday 7th Sept
AM - Stevie Wilson - 800 Tuning, tweaking and maintenance. (Bimbling) 1pm - Races 3 & 4
PM - Curry House for 7s. and Fancy dress "Rubik's Cube" Club Crawl for 8's

The Rubik's Cube Crawl is a very simply themed party where sailors wear clothing in a variety of solid colours. Ideally each article of clothing should match one of the colours found on a Rubik's cube (red, white, blue, yellow, green orange).

The goal is to trade articles of clothing with other sailors (both male and female) until your entire outfit is one colour - birthday suit doesn't count!

Saturday 8th Sept
AM - Andy Jeffries and Allyson Ody - Light and 'not so light' wind boat handling tips. 1pm - Races 5 & 6
(after sailing) - Mixed Venture Match Racing (TBC)
PM - BBQ and The infamous Mark Pollington Band @ HISC

Sunday 9th Sept
11am - Races 7 & 8 PM (after sailing) - Prize Giving
