In the closest of finishes, countbacks decided the outcome of both the Rugen Fisch World Championships and the Hanse Youngster Promotional Regatta. Light, shifty winds on the final day saw only one race sailed in the Worlds and an abandoned race in the Promotional event.

Tying on 47 points with Ilya Polyschuk & Ilya Gaydaenko in RUS 9811, the Polish team’s five race victories versus the Russian pair’s single first place earned them the Yachting World trophy.
