Open Day at Burghfield Sailing Club on 14th May

Why not come along this Saturday (14th May) between 11am and 4pm and find out what Burghfield Sailing Club has to offer.

Whether a complete novice or experienced racer, Burghfield offers the best Inland sailing venue in the Thames region, a warm friendly atmosphere, superb facilities, training support for youth, adults, racers and recreational sailors alike.

Excellent Sunday racing, 70+ boats on the water on Wednesday evenings, the list goes on...!

The best way to find out more about the club is to come along on Saturday and see for yourself. Should you decide to join on the day then you would benefit from a 25% reduction in first years membership.

Aspects of the club:

  • Berkshire Sail Training- Offers RYA courses in Windsurfing and Sailing to all ages
  • Burghfield Sailability- RYA awarded-Sailability Centre of Excellence
  • Admirals' Club- popular club organised recreational sailing , social and training program
  • Oppie Club- In house training every Sunday for new and improving youth sailors
  • Oppie, Toppers, 4.7's, Fevas, 420's- Various active Youth racing groups
  • Wednesday evening racing- 70+ boats and dinner afterward- a real social occasion!
  • Sunday racing- Good sized very competitive fleets with around 40-60 boats on the water every weekend

Calm start to the day, yet 8 races are completed Eight National 12s lined up on the Burghfield beach and gazed out at the mirror finish of the lake. RRS A8.1 & A8.2 had been used to separate a three-way tie for first place A Chipstead SC boat clinched victory at the hotly contested HD Sails Streaker Southern Paddle Open Meeting at Burghfield Sailing Club on Saturday 14th September, but not before RRS A8.2 had been used to separate a three-way tie for first place!
