South Yorkshire Sailing Club - 60 years on the water

April 2011 sees the beginning of our 60th season as South Yorkshire Sailing Club. 18 months ago the club moved to Underbank Reservoir in Stocksbridge from its former home on More Hall Reservoir. This move has enabled us to gain not only more sailing area, around 80 acres, but fantastic on-shore facilities. These facilities have created a much more welcoming environment and will now hopefully help us extend our sailing season into the colder months.

We are constantly looking for new members to join our club and hope that the family ethos that the club has developed over its 60 year history will be a great attraction. The club meets on Sundays for racing and general sailing activities and also on Wednesday evenings from May. Our new website provides all the information new and existing members could need and you can also follow the clubs activities via facebook.
