International Moth Winter Series

by Mike Lennon 15 Feb 2011 16:54 GMT

The final weekend of the International Moth class winter series has come and gone leaving Mike Cooke as the UK winter Champion.

The first running of this event for the class had some strong turnouts when the weather was good. A total of 25 entries over the series bodes well for the up and coming summer series starting at Queen Mary on March 26/27th for the Inland National title.

The class is going from strength to strength, following the highly successful Worlds recently in Belmont Australia where 120 boats competed - The UK Moth class expects to re enter the" 50 plus club" at Nationals being held Stokes Bay in early July.

Congratulations to Mike Cooke on being our first Winter Champion and also to Geoff Carveth in second and Alex Adams in third.
