51st 12ft Skiff Interdominions at Sydney Harbour - Preview

The 51st Interdominion Championships for 12ft Skiffs kicks-off tomorrow (6th Jan) in Sydney Harbour. This year's event is being hosted by Lane Cove Yacht Club, and has SLAM as title sponsors.
Lane Cove 12ft Sailing Skiff Club has been a home to 12ft Skiff racing since 1918. The Club's current fleet of 12ft Skiffs is the largest in Australia and have a successful record of conducting 12ft Skiff Championships, having hosted the Australian Championships in 2002 and 2008.
Last year's Inters Champions, Nick Press and Brad Yabsley in DIMENSION SAILCLOTH (Aus) will be defending their title, but are unlikely to have it all their own way, with strong competition from Bret Hobson and Alex Johnson in GARDE (Aus), and the consistently quick Alex Vallings with local guest crew Cameron McDonald in NUPLEX (NZ).
We are please to hear that the fleet from Queensland have made it safely to Sydney (we were a little worried that they might have got caught-up in the flooding), so the class are expecting a strong turn-out for this year's competition.
