ISO Europeans at Brenzone, Lake Garda, Italy - Day 1

by Pete Lindley 26 Aug 2010 11:52 BST 25-28 August 2010

20 ISOs, coming from 4 countries (Italy, UK, Germany and Nederlands) gathered yesterday for the first day of racing in Brenzone, on the east side of Lake Garda, for ISO Eurocup 2010. The lake met all expectations, warm temperature, blue sky and wind spanning between 10-15 knots.

3 races, all won by Team Rooster, Mike Lillywhite and Mark Riddington but the competition for the top places was closer than what you may think when looking at the final results for the day.

At the end of day 1, Rooster sailing (GBR 815) is leading with 3 points, followed by ITA 688 (Paola Galli) and ITA 1195 (Fulvio Gatti) both with 10 points.

Warning signal for day 2 today at 14:00.
