Southampton Sailing Club open Training Centre

Alexis Green of BBC South Today formally opened the Southampton Sailing Club training centre on Saturday 31st July. Accredited by the Royal Yachting Association earlier this year, the centre is manned by volunteers and is now offering RYA dinghy training courses to the local community.

Saturday was also the completion of one of the centre’s first courses and saw 10 successful students receive RYA qualifications. The formal opening marked the culmination of over a year’s development work for the club’s training sub-committee.
