St Mawes replicated the Mediterranean for their enormously successful Train and Race Open weekend. Some 20 Fevas gathered and had Aeolius, the God of Wind, on their side with decent, raceable wind on the Sunday after just an hour's delay.
3 races were then held back to back in the morning with three boats fairly equal at lunch - Simon Cox and Oliver Bampton (CEYS), Nat Warren and Christian Vroom (RPS), Kerry Holbrook and Jade Teneary all with a race win.
The wind then swung a bit and allowed racing in the harbour in the afternoon for 2 moreraces. Nat and Christian won both while Oliver and Simon held second place and Josh Croft and Flora Jobson (STMSC) sailed well to take third place from James Thornton and James McDonald from Stithians in fourth.
On shore the cream teas (and an epic lemon drizzle) were serious diversions and everyone is looking forward to the next event. Rock on! (well within the rules that is).
