Around Jamestown Island Race Results (5 Sept 2004)

Labor day weekend 2004. Matt Aubee took 3rd place in his class on his Cork 1720 in an 18.1 mile race. The race was the historical around the Island race at Jamestown, Rhode Island. In varying breezes of 8-20 knots he clinched 5th overall in a fleet numbering 82 boats, all competitive well known brands. Matt said it was a lot of fun and at times we saw boat speeds of 13+ knots and 8 foot swells.

“This is very impressive considering Matt has only had his new boat in the water 5 months” said Richard Wixted, VP of sales and marketing at Sportzboats USA. Full race information can be found at www.conanicutyachtclub.org
