Tacktick products on show at the Southampton Boat Show

Following Tacktick’s acquisition by Suunto earlier in the year Tacktick will be exhibiting a much wider range of products on its stand at the Southampton Boat Show in September 2009 including the full range of Suunto marine compasses and watches. On display on stand GO82 will be Tacktick’s extensive range of wireless electronics including the following:

With no wires to run down the mast installation is quick and efficient and makes this an ideal replacement for broken wind systems. The new mn30 wind system gives true and apparent wind speed and direction (true wind requires boat speed) in a large clear analogue display with backlighting for night sailing. The mn30 retails at £444.69 making it an affordable solution for both replacement wind systems and first time installations. The new mn30 low cost, entry-level wireless wind which has proved so popular with boat owners.

The mn30 wind system is ideal for sailing or power cruising yachts 35ft and under, whether replacing an existing system or installing for the first time. Wind speed and direction information is delivered wirelessly from the wind transmitter, whilst the display itself is powered by the boat’s 12v battery.

Also on display will be Tacktick’s Award winning range of Micronet wireless solar powered instruments which offer simple-to-install, easy-touse, lightweight, totally portable instruments suitable for cruising and racing yachts both power and sail. With no wires to run down the mast or through the headlining these instruments offer reliability as well as sophisticated functions and interface possibilities. Costs start from £555.88

The Maxi range offers an impressive array of innovative features including a start line function that tells racers to speed up or slow down as they approach the start line, a crucial tool for optimising starts. The displays use high contract LCD screens with super-large digits to give maximum clarity. With no wires to run through the boat or up the mast and super-thin, lightweight displays, Tacktick’s instruments offer the most weight efficient package for race boat owners. Prices start at £667.07 inc Vat.

Designed specifically for racing and large cruising yachts is Tacktick’s Maxi range of super-large wireless displays which are available in two options; the Maxi Display with 50mm digits and the Dual Digital Maxi Display with two lines of 32mm digits. Both displays can either be used as standalone instruments or as extra wireless displays interfaced into existing brands of on-board instruments.

Tacktick’s wireless electronics solution for sports and keel boats is the Tacktick Race Master which provides critical tactical race information including race compass and wind shift indicator as well as countdown timer. The Race Master retails at £571.45

The Micronet Race Master is suitable for small cruisers and day sailors and provides wireless speed and depth information and can be linked to the wireless wind system. The Micronet Race Master retails at £990.63.
