Tacktick by Suunto will be sponsoring Matt Humphries and Luke Yates in the Archipelago Raid 2009 in their Hobie Wild Cat © Tacktick

The British duo will be sailing their Hobie Wild Cat equipped with Tacktick’s Race Master which will provide critical tactical race data and Suunto’s KB20 hand-held compass for precise compass readings. Both products are extremely rugged and designed for the harsh environment of the Archipelago Raid which is described as "the largest and most extreme orienteering sailing competition in the world".

Commenting on the sponsorship, James Hewitt, Sales Manager of Tacktick said, “We are delighted to be supporting the British duo in this famous Scandinavian regatta. Accurate navigation data is key to a team’s success in this event; the Tacktick Race Master will provide the sailors with critical racing information while the Suunto KB20 is the ideal hand bearing compass. Tacktick and Suunto provide the ideal navigation solutions for this type of event and we look forward to seeing the results of Matt and Luke’s efforts.”

Sailors wishing to find out the ideal navigation package for their boat should log onto www.tacktick.com and try the online configurator which will design the perfect package.
