3000 Nationals at Grafham Water Sailing Club - Preview

by Tony Hunt 4 Jun 2009 07:08 BST 13-14 June 2009

The 3000 National Championships take place next week on 13/14th June at Grafham Water SC. In addition to the usual perpetual and keep-sake prizes, VanderCraft are generously donating a new North Dacron jib for a prize draw amongst competitors on the Sunday after racing. The class association will be topping that up with a set of furling gear, so that the winner will have all they need for flap-free launching and recovery.

3000 sailors of all levels will be warmly welcomed and can be sure of some close racing, as well as plentiful hints, tips and chat. Those arriving on the Friday can enter on arrival and will then be entitled to free-sail on Grafham Water that day.

Furthermore, anyone curious to try sailing a 3000 can have a demonstration sail - best please contact the class association before the event so that a slot can be arranged.

Full details of the event can be found here.
