Ronstan significant distribution changes to UK & Ireland

by Rob Crowe, Ronstan UK 23 Apr 2009 09:36 BST

As a result of a comprehensive review of our distribution activities in the UK and Ireland, Ronstan will be making some changes in the way we provide products and services to the region:

  • Effective from Monday, 27th April, Marathon Leisure Ltd. is appointed as our distributor, to service our network of retailers, riggers, boat builders and service yards in the United Kingdom and Ireland.

  • Ronstan UK Ltd. will continue to provide marketing services and key account support from our office in Gosport, but all warehouse and distribution functions will be handled by Marathon Leisure.

  • Ronstan UK Ltd. will continue to supply and support sailmakers, special projects and customers requiring our range of batten systems and big boat hardware packages until the end of June, after which we will transfer this business over to our new technical distributor SAILTEK Ltd. SailTek has been formed by Jason Belben, a long standing employee of Ronstan, who will be distributing the Ronstan range of Batten & Ballslide systems, as well as being involved in big boat fit-outs and special projects.

We believe that our new partnerships with Marathon Leisure & SailTek will provide easier access to our product range for many customers, and we look forward to working closely with them and you as we go forward.

This continues to be one of the greatest sailing markets in the world, and we look forward to continuing our commitment and involvement in the sport and the industry, in collaboration with our new distributors.
