Thefts at Datchet Water Sailing Club

During the night of Saturday 28th March and the early hours of Sunday 29th March, thieves entered the dinghy park at Datchet Water Sailing Club.
Approximately 30 boats were targeted including Lasers, Toppers, Optimists, a Topper Xenon and a Laser 4000. The thieves slashed covers, stealing spars and rope kits. Unusually some older spars were discarded, and so we are initially ruling out thefts for scrap metal value.
Noble Marine would be extremely interested to hear from you if you have been offered cheap spars for any of these classes or a Laser XD rope kit. Naturally any information would be treated in the strictest confidence.
To avoid similar copy-cat thefts it might be worthwhile to review security arrangements at your club and your own boat.
