The International Cadet Class has today published a new set of class rules. This brings the old rules up-to-date and more importantly allows the building of wooden Cadets again.
ICC Chairman Steve Proffitt stated “allowing the building of wooden Cadets again creates significant sailing opportunities for the class worldwide. It takes the class back to Jack Holt’s original design concept and also opens up the possibility of a cheap flat packed International Junior double handed dinghy for emerging sailing Nations. I hope that this will bring Cadet sailing to more people worldwide.”
