Race 10:

The fleet were launched early to get in the three races necessary for the twelve race series. With the wind a force 2 Westerly the start was delayed to allow a ship to dock. Following this there was a huge wind shift just after the first start forced a postponement. The next start saw a general recall and the black flag. Middle left paid and first to the windward was GBR 8561 Tom Makey followed by CZE9470 Petr Fiala, GBR8288 Jamie Crapnell, POL9461 Damian Rzepkowski/Mateusz Anuszkiewicz, GBR8511 Thomas Kinver and GBR9155 Will Branton. After the sausage GBR8511 Thomas Kinver led with a clear gap to GBR8561 Tom Makey, GBR7630Miles Blaver Mann and CZE9470. At the line GBR8511 took the gun from GBR8561, CZE9470 and GBR7630.

The second start saw GBR9034 Stephen Videlo arrive at the windward first. He was followed by three Dutch boats, NED8411 Neils Dercksen, NED8437 Sven Oomens and NED8560 Bente Cohen/Iskander Pels Rycken. Then followed GBR8415 William Rusden and BEL8426 ‘Brown Beer’ Camiel Van Noten/Jules Greeve. By the next windward NED8437 led GBR9034, GBR8435 Kate Allam and GBR8415. With some very close racing up the final beat, GBR9034 just edged out NED8437 for the win. GBR8435 was third and POL9435 Mieszko Morawski/Pawle Cherubin popped up from nowhere to take fourth.

Race 11:

The spectators were treated to a text book port end flyer by GBR8522 Hugo Bull. One minute after the start he led by at least twenty boat lengths. Unfortuently he stayed on the same tack almost to the lay line and rounded in about tenth. First round the mark was GBR8538 James Jaffa, followed by GBR8420 Jodie Green, BEL9453Yannick Lefefvre, POL9461 Damian Rzepkowski, NED8411 Neils Dercksen and GBR8288 Jamie Crapnel. It was all change at the next windward with GBR8420 leading NED8437 Sven Oomens, POL9461 and GBR815 James Rusden after the leaders had gone to the wrong windward mark. GBR8515 took the gun from POL9461, GBR8420 and NED8437.#

The second start saw places changing at every mark. GBR8997 David Brewer led at the first, followed by GBR9047 ‘Touchwood’ Edward Impey/Jamie Millard, GBR7335 ‘Hypnosis’ PeerLawrence/ Christopher Tiernan, GBR8855 Jonathon Mos, BR9028 ‘She who Dares’ Oliver Impey/Jack Wilson and CZE7070 Lenka Mkzilkova. After the sausage GBR9047 led GBR885 and GBR7335 who had broken clear of PL940 Michat Redmerski.. At the line GBR9047 led home GBR7335, GBR8855 and GBR8997.

Race 12:

This left the Championship wide open still, and everything resting on the last race. The wind had picked up, so it was a good force 3. Start 1 saw HUN9450 sail away from the opposition from start to finish a minute clear of the rest. Second at the first mark was GBR8435 Kate Allam, followed by GBR8288 Jamie Crapnell, GBR8539 Ben Lyon, GBR8515 James Rusden and GBR7630 Miles Blaver Mann. GBR8515 had worked through to second at the last windward with GBR8519 Jenny Lennon third and GBR8420 Jodie Green fourth. At the line second was GBR8515, third GBR8519 and fourth GBR8415 William Rusden. Crucially GBR8420 crossed in sixth.

The second start saw GBR8511Thomas Kinver lead from start to finish. He was 20seconds clear at the first mark, had increased this at the last windward and crossed the line 80 seconds ahead of CZE9470 Petr Fiala who had followed him all the way round well clear of the third boat. Third at the first mark was BEL9453 Yannick Lefefvre, followed by NED8437 Sven Oomens, GBR3069 ‘Jiminey Cricket’ James/Sara Dallimore and GBR8561 Tom Makey. At the last windward mark NED8437 was third and GBR8561 fourth. With positions changing up the final beat, third was CZE7070 Lenka Mrzilkova and fourth NED8437.

This meant that GBR8420 and CZE9470 were level on points for the championship. CZE9470 Petr Fiala and Hynek Barkman winning on countback. Both boats having won one race but CZE9470 coming second in two races against GBR8420 Jodie Green and Stevie Green one. Third was BEL9453 Yannick Lefefvre and Morgan Good. Fourth GBR8561 Tom Makey and Jonathon Kimber. Fifth GBR8997 David Brewer and Katrina Brewer and sixth GBR9034 Stephen Videlo and James Jopling.
