by Stan Lubner 14 Apr 2008 13:24 BST 12-13 April 2008

North Lincs and Humberside SC hosted the event over the weekend 12-13th April. There were 15 entries with 11 visitors. True to the forecast, Saturday’s races were sailed in 20 – 28 knots.

In the first race Ian Kelly finished clear with Wayne Atherton in second and Jon Aldhous third. Adrian Cripps progressed to fourth.

Saturday’s second race was almost a replay – same wind, direction and course. The result was almost the same, only with Peter Cuthbert replacing Adrian in fourth position.

Sunday was all change with little wind. Ian Kelly won, followed by Wayne and Adrian.

In race 4 Wayne finished ahead of Peter Cuthbert and Carl Cripps.

With the last podium place at stake, 6 headed to the start. Wayne again finished first, with Peter second and Jon third. This result settled third place in favour of Peter Cuthbert.

Geoff Phillips thanked North Lincs and the support staff, especially those who supplied the tea & butties!

2nd Wayne Atherton & Liz Kemp, 3383
