Henri Lloyd have made some huge developments within our coastal and inshore range for 2008, including the introduction of new fabrics, designs and styles to ensure that our products deliver the high demands required in this sector.
The hero product within this range is the TP2 Biscay Jacket which is constructed from Henri Lloyd’s TP2 fabric. TP2 is 100% waterproof and windproof, it is also highly breathable, which in turn reduces condensation to keep the wearer dry. TP2 has also been treated with SDWR (Super Durable Water Repellency) finish which helps to shed water thus speeding up the drying time and maintaining the comfort of the garment.
Other features include dual cargo and hand-warmer pockets and an internal zip fastening pocket. The hood has been upgraded to an articulated hood pod with a hi-visibility foldaway hood, which can be easily adjusted with the use of shockcord adjusters.
A women’s jacket has also been designed, which like all Henri Lloyd ladies products, is a technical replica of the men’s jacket, but has been tailored to fit the female figure. Both versions of the jacket are contoured to the body stature to reduce windage and articulated for ease of movement.
The coastal / inshore range also sees the introduction of the Mirage Jacket. Constructed from Henri Lloyd’s own TP1 fabric, this jacket is 100% waterproof and windproof and is an extremely versatile jacket for both multi purpose shore side and water based activities. The TP1 fabric and the jacket’s light weight taffeta lining have both been treated with a DWR (Durable Water Repellency) finish which sheds water and helps to maintain the performance and comfort of the jacket, whilst the internal collar is fleece lined to provide comfort for sensitive areas of the face.
The Mirage Jacket is also available in a junior version which has all the same technical features of the adult version, including the articulated hood, reflective patches and buoyancy loops – all being extremely important features for a junior sailing product.
For 2008, the Coastal Hi-Fits have been redesigned and constructed to increase their durability and longevity. Both the men’s and women’s versions are now made from Henri Lloyd TP2 technical fabric, which is 100% waterproof and windproof, whilst still being extremely breathable and hard wearing. Both Hi-Fits benefit from seat and knee reinforcements and non corrosive zips, whilst the elasticated shoulder straps combined with bat wing adjusters offers a more versatile fit. The linings have also been treated with a DWR finish, speeding up the drying time of the garment. The women’s version of the Hi-Fits has been redesigned to contour the female figure, as well as incorporating a drop seat facility.
