2004 Symmetric Grand Prix at Rutland Sailing Club

by Mike Pickles 14 Jul 2004 19:33 BST 10-11 July 2004

Rutland Sailing Club hosted the Symmetric Grand Prix this year and after the Datchet event in 2003, it is a regatta that has high expectations, promising to provide a unique mix of high quality sailing, advice and technical support, wonderful prizes from sponsors and off-water entertainment that is almost as keenly anticipated as the racing.

The mix of world, European and National Champions in the Seven Fastsail Classes, mixing it with boats that have never even sailed on the open circuit makes this event special.

The event was won By the Fireball Class for the second year with the Hornet Class in 2nd followed by the Flying Dutchman, Javelin, 505, Osprey and 470 classes.

Full Results, report and photos have been posted on the www.fastsail.org web site.
