During the autumn Bala Sailing Club has held three fund raising events in aid of the Bryan Davies Appeal Fund. During the evening of their prize giving supper Dave Eccles the club commodore presented a cheque for £630 to Sue Davies who was representing the fund.

Until the accident in the spring Bryan locally affectionately known as Yogi had been a rugby player and junior coach. As a result of the accident in his last match Bryan is now paralyzed from the neck down and may not walk again.

The monies were raised during the August Regatta, the Blaze Inland Championships and the club’s Prize Giving Supper. Thanks are offered to all those members and visitors who contributed to the funds or made individual donations. Special thanks go to the visiting Blaze fleet who as a result of a magnificent individual donation contributed over £340 to the total fund.
