I have had a fantastic three days. It was Junior Bourne End Week and there were kids everywhere - about 60. Thursday was breezy but very sunny.

The Mayor and his funkalicious chain came to the Club to start the Laser Pico rigging race. After that we had a Treasure Hunt and had 1 Topper and 1 Pico to sail our team of 8 to the other side of the river. There were fun races throughout the afternoon. It was great!

The next day was still sunny but the wind had dropped. We had serious racing and fun racing.

Everyone got a yellow Laser Pico t-shirt and there were more prizes for the racing, given by craftinsure.com, The Laser Centre, Henri Lloyd, Gill, Fat Face, Dinghy Magazine and The Dinghy Store, Datchet. Alex Hobern of UTSC was our first Junior Bourne End Week Champion. Lots of us were from UTSC and there were visitors from Thames SC, Maidenhead SC and Stewartby. After scrummy pizza there was a big game of skittles.

On Saturday it was all fun: fun races, fun sailing, fun capsizing and a big barbeque to finish the great week. The sailing carried on right into the evening but we finally ended our fabulous junior regatta.
