An endurance race of some six miles, in less than three hours, sailed on the Thames, with very little wind, is enough to try any crew.

Seven boats ventured out in very little wind, with the first boat completing the first of three laps in just under an hour.

The wind increased slightly, and the next two laps were completed in another hour, well within the time limit.

This trophy dating back to 1933 was presented to the Upper Thames Sailing Club to rank with the Queens Cup for Thames A Raters, which is sailed over nine miles, under similar conditions.
