Light winds were dominant over this weekend that saw a healthy turn out of 66 Junior Class sailors in the Scottish Zone Championships. In the Topper fleet Rob Partridge of Budworth dominated, letting only one race slip from a perfect 5.
Jack Calvert, Spey Valley kept the pressure on with three second places and a third, and Daivid Kohler, Linlithgow Loch showed his intentions with steady placings to give him a credible third place overall.
The top ten featured three girls, Nell Hardie, Anna Dobson and Rona Young, ensuring that the boys and visitors did not get everything their own way!
This proved good practice for the forthcoming nationwide to be held at Largs Sailing Club 3rd and 4th July, and proved that the wind does not always blow in the Largs Channel!
