GERBER Vortex Asymmetric Development on show

The latest prototype version of the Laser Vortex Asymmetric will be available for testing at this weekends GERBER VORTEX GRAND PRIX at Hayling Island Sailing Club. The development is still in testing stage, but a new 'made to measure' kite will be trialled for the first time this weekend and the first version with a launching carbon pole will also be given its first sea trial.

If this weekends tests are successful, a production version will swiftly follow. To see the latest or have a trial, just turn up at Hayling Island before or after the racing on Saturday or on Sunday Morning. Anyone wishing to sail in the races either day should contact the class association. Details are on the class's web discussion site at www.laservortex.org - follow the link to the discussion site and then hit the 'Last Day' link.

Keith Escritt the Vortex Class Chairman comments:

"The class are very grateful to GERBER our sponsor who provided some of the funding necessary to bring this development to this stage. Both GERBER and the class are looking forward to seeing the final results and hope that Hayling Bay will prove an effective test for the protype version"
