Throughout 2003 the Dart 16 TT series has taken place. It begun at Dee SC over the Easter weekend then moved onto Whitstable in May and then Hastings in June. After a break in July for the Nationals at Southend on Sea, we re-commenced at Rutland in August and then onto the final event at Eastbourne in October.

This year has seen the biggest entry list by far with 34 boats taking part and experiancing a variety of conditions to tax & test event the most engrossed competitor!

Whilst there have been the usual hard core racers, it has been good to see so many 'new recrutes', indeed we also saw our first singlehanded competitor taking part, which only goes to prove the point that you don't always need 2 to have fun!

Counting 2 wins a 2nd and a 4th the overall winners of the series were one of the younger and lighter combined crews on the circuit, Ben & Hugo. This result showed the tremedous improvement from last years events and justified all their time and commitment taken in the boat. Closely following them in were last years winners, Mike & Chris, with the oldest reprobates of the fleet Graham & Dago in 3rd. The unfriendly advances of a Dart 18 at Whitstable, put paid to Richard & Mark's chances, otherwise they would have surely been closer. The biggest applause at the prizegiveing went to the youngest competitor by far,Chloe Bolton, crewing for her Dad and achieving a 5th overall place.
