Hungarian Yachting Association news and update

The Hungarian Yachting Association has decided to keep the Soling in the
Olympic programme; this means all Olympic Classes regattas in Hungary will
have the Soling included on their programme.

NOW FOR THE MAIN ATTRACTION:
For the first time in its history the HYA is organising a prize money fleet
race event ONLY for the Soling class. The International AURORA CUP AND
ROMER QUELLE GRAND PRIX will be held in Balatonalmadi from 14 - 16 April
with a total prize of 3,900.000 HUF (at present equivalent of 30,000 DM)
The Patron of the event is His Highness Count Anton von Esterhazy.
Accommodation is available in the Hotel Aurora with very special rates for
sailors, escorts, friends: Double room & breakfast 40 DM. Single room and
breakfast 30 DM. The entry fee will be 100 DM.
Craning will be available from 12:00 hours on Thursday 12th April.
Friday 13th April - Soling Funsailing followed by 5 RACES:
First start will be at 10:00 on Saturday 14th April. The last possible
start will be at 12:00 hours on Monday 16th April. Social events will be
held every day in the Hotel Aurora and Captain's Irish Pub - the first and
only Soling Pub in Central Europe!
Prize money for the first 6 ranked teams will be as follows:
1st place - 1,200.000 HUF etc. 6th place 300,000 HUF.
Cups, medals, ribbons for races, overall ranking, youngest team, oldest
team, etc.
