Chichester Yacht Club is renowned for its friendly, informal atmosphere. We welcome new and experienced sailors as well as other watersports users including rowers, wingfoilers, windsurfers, paddleboarders and kayakers. Chichester Yacht Club also welcomes visiting boats and rallies.
The Club has three main sections of interest: Yacht, Dinghy and Motor and you can be members of more than one section. The Club also has a 4-person Celtic Longboat which is a lightweight boat with fixed seats and composite oars. Regular rowing opportunities are open to members from 16 years old upwards.
The club has a wide range of Club dinghies available to hire at minimal cost and there are opportunities to crew with other members in all sections.
Sailing and Power Boating offer the opportunity to learn new skills, meet new friends and enjoy the thrills and relaxation that come from spending time on the water.
Aside from on the water activities, the Club runs a wide range of social events including lectures and technical discussions, live music evenings, parties and formal balls, bridge, ramblers, wine tasting, screening of major sporting events and quizzes.
In the Clubhouse, our bar and restaurant offer excellent facilities for all the family and some of the best views in the harbour. We serve breakfast baps, lunch and dinner during the kitchen operating hours or snacks from the bar in the afternoon. With your membership card, you will benefit from a member discount on food and drink. The Garden has stunning views and is a favourite spot in the summer to watch the sailing on the Harbour and enjoy sundowners, the sunsets are legendary!
