	its with great regret I have to pass on that this years monster race will not be held although intrest was extremely high , sponsors willing and management in place another major piece of the jigsaw couldn't be tied down , many apologies to all for our unsuccessfull attempts to get this great race running this year . However there is the next SNECCA event at Largs Sailing Club and incorporated into their immense "Cumbraes Weekend "regatta which sees 4 course races on the saturday and a mid distance race around the Cumbrae isles which the whole fleet sails keelboats dinghies and cats , with it being part of a keelboat regatta theresplenty of socials with reception on friday night (which killed me off last year ,wife beater and red wine being a deadly combination) and more on saturday after racing . well worth a visit if you were planning to come to bonny scotland, it is run over the weekend of 22nd/23rd august , the weekend before Loch Ness was planned . Largs Sc is situated in the Marina with excellent facilities Edited by catmandoo
