My heart goes out to Alex Tomson

 I only have a small dinghy, but I would hate to abandon her, it would break my heart.
how Alex must feel.........I can't begin to imagine.

You can't move it without Superman's help (aka Mark Jardine) but it doesn't matter. We all feel for Alex and hope he'll be safe. We're all keeping an eye on them!

Doh! Ecovers mast has broken in 2 places so now Mike Golding and Alex Thomson are trying to jury rig to make the 1000 miles back to Cape Town. How gutted is that!

I'd be asking would it have happened if he hadn't gone back to get Alex?! Bet there is a lovely atmosphere below deck there!
