Not quite that simple, they go down to the island turn around and sail back and go past the club to the other end of the lake and then return to the club to finish.

In a drifter they shorten the course - we turned at a mark by the Burkett plaque instead of at the island one year.

It's true then, just read the Sail Racer blurb, can't help thinking it's got to do with them and their Elitist approach and or their desire to totally dominate all major sail events, with their approach of scare tactics to get paid up front.

I also wonder if it's got to do with them not having enough trackers, if that is what they are offering. Why am I such a conspiracy theorist? I don't know this just seems wrong, what's wrong with them just splitting the start, send the Mirrors, Toppers and Open Canoes off half an hour early, or would that screw up the Sailracer tracking thing?

They don't track the event (certainly didnt last year). Why don't you enter Grumpf, drag yourself away from the garden of England and have some fun.
