If you mean the swimmer in the first few frames, I think that's a surfer paddling out rather than a crew. I think he was sailing s/h I've watched this a few times and it looks like he is moving around on the boat following an unexpected tack. My guess is that he was hit by a wave on the nose that pushed the bows round, and caused the tack. It would also have killed his boat speed and made what happened next all but inevitable. So his mistake IMO was 30 seconds before this clip when he would have been sailing too tight on the opposite tack against breaking waves. Just my guess tho
