well being a newbie myself and having a quite cheery CFC pm me to welcome me to forum i guessed it would be an idea to have a thread for people to introduce themselves and so here it is!

anyway, i suppose i should start...

 im ellie, i sail merlins.  my home club is hollingworth lake (i feel like im at a virtual AA meeting ) and ive been sailing for 6 years

so there it is. anyone else want to join in?

God I feel OLD and I am only 33

I am Stuart and I sail a Contender.  It is a cool boat (not sub zero but always cool).  Oh and it beats me up most weekends, but I think that is due to stepping out of a Laser and into a Contender without ever being on a trapeze before

No response to that, so I guess you're all too young to have seen "Apocalypse Now"...

BTW I'm Rob, I'm an ageing Solo sailor who used to sail a Merlin many years ago! Welcome to the forum, but be warned, it can become addictive, and you will be tarred with the epithet "really should get out more".

(Am I going to be told that an epithet is only one word, not a phrase? I really should've listened at school more!)
