Not sure this doesn't strictly counts as dinghy development, but can anyone help my identify this boat on behalf of a neighbour.
It is 14"2' long, metal centre plate, wooden clinker, might even have been rigged for a spinnaker. I first thought it was a YW Dayboat, but curved bow doesn't look right for a YW DB. Any thoughts? ![]() ![]() |

There were a thousand and one local one designs of that sort of type. If the area its from and especially which BSC it was associated with that might help.

The boat is currently in Hampshire....it has no known connection with any sailing club.
I wonder if BSC might be Bosham or Bembridge? |

It looks vaguely like an RNSA 14 or Uffa Fox Island class at the bow, but these had no decks.

The Brightlingsea One Design is 18' long - information here: https://brightlingseaonedesign.com/the-fleet/
I agree with fogliettaz, it is very reminiscent of a Blackwater Sprite (14' long) from Blackwater Sailing Club - they still race them. http://www.cvrda.org/dinghydata/blackwater-sprite/. My father had one many moons ago, which is how I started sailing.
