Well done guys, 1193 to the finish for me, I think I am about 5 grids due south of you Sawman. Possibly in better breeze at the moment but the breeze is dropping from behind me so may get caught in a hole again!

I see you there, with miksbrick, one of the pistonheads contenders. I think I probably should have stayed closer to south america for a little longer. but I lost my nerve. I have just pointed the snout at cape town and will hope for the best. The iphone app seems to have stopped working for me, so I can only set courses when I am in the house!

Yep, only been looking twice a day which in most of the time in the Atlantic trade winds is all it needs, might get a bit more tricky in other areas but I think that is why they offer options to pay for extras which let you plan sail changes and course changes when you are not around (not going to take them up though). Where are we heading for next and when? It would be good not to miss the start this time
