Hi Olly

In a way code 0`s are getting slightly hammered under IRC. This is due to Mr W-O believing A spinnaker made from sail cloth (eg carbon/Kevalr etc) is more of a genoa. However sailmaker in bigboat stuff seem to be developing towards flat A-sails made of conventional cloth, (A1, A2, A3 etc). IRC seems not to have caught onto this one too much as being made of Spinnaker cloth it is deemed a spinnaker, but being super flat it can be carried very close to the wind. Hence lots of the IRC zero + super zero fleet moving towards fixed stubby bowsprits.

We have a Corby 29 down this way that is thinking of trying this so will see how it works out on a boat this size if ready for this season.......

Thanks for the response, i cant remember where id read that piece of info, might of been on the rorc site.  i have been looking at the displacement length ratios alot lately to see if there is any corralation, the corbys and such like might be too heavey for their length under present rating logic, but a p762 might be light enough to pull it off.  the trouble is scaling doesnt work well in boats so is more than likely a road to no where.  just daydreaming again.

You either have too much time on your hands making notes or have been speaking to RORC..... 0.966 - 0.976 range is quite a disparity seeing as most of the 762`s are all quite different...

combination of too much time and finding the right info, all the above is available on the new rorc irc site.  but i have been going through the old posts on here and have found some extra data, i will post when i can.  useful info to have alongside this is sail areas, % overlaps, pole lengths, and actual measured weight rather than the DLR given above, which actually works out at about 1150kgs, even for those boats i know have been weighed at over 1300kgs (which would be about 171).  anyone know why this is?

Are All 762 owners who race under IRC prepared to scan their 2009 certificates and post them on this site???

It would be most revealing for the class to see all the differences....

hi Tim, hows the winter treating you? cheers for the update, 2 clicks, one has to be age allowance and the other???  did you change sail plans after the tin tree felling?  i will post our cert when we get it, cant wait to see what happens when i increase the spinnaker area by a 1/4...
