Yeah, there are always casualties when you play with new tech for the first time. my casualties were 4 control rods at the nationals - think the waves might have had something to do with it!

Just hadnt made a set of hydrofoils before, along with all the gubbins that goes with them. There are only really two people/builders that have done them successfully so there isnt much to draw from.
I also went the long way and designed/chose my own shapes/sections so it was all new to me... its a lot to think about, I am already on my second set of foils with lessons learned along the way.

All good fun.

There's some funky mumbo jumbo going down from Clive Everest which i saw today.

a twin daggerboard hydrofoiling beast thing with some hiking racks and a big carbon stick which points upwards.

I'd post some photos but my camera phone went balls up.
