Now, I could have hiked it flat. I could have insisted the yellow capped fool at the back of the boat joined me in perching. But, hell, the troughs were bigger than they appear in the picture, the boat was rolling so much three seconds later the mast would have been pointing back past vertical anyway. Perch.

Were Leo and Kate on the bow when you did that?

I don't think the RS300 is that difficult to sail tbh, certainly not at a puddle in sub-windsurfing conditions.... I very, very nearly bought another one, but decided to wait for the Aero when I heard the rumour it was getting sent to the old people's home.

Just like an RS300......does that mean the Solo is difficult to sail too?.......

The Perchmeister.. note the complete inward reverse lean to make absolutely certain at no point does any part of the body hang over the side of the craft...

To be fair, rupertson loves hiking hard, however much I tell him that perching is better. It might have something to do with seeing how cool his father looks when sailing, and realizing he can never compete...

If he was on water in that shot, his bum would be 6" under...

I'll have to dig out pictures of my perching "technique".
